Somtime finely and handsomely bound in full slate-grey morocco with single-rule gilt panel to sides, spine with 5 raised bands, panelled in gilt with gilt beading to bands and gilt lettering direct, top edge gilt, others uncut, marbled endpapers, by the Chelsea Bindery; pp. [vi], 7-253 + [ii]; with a total of 8 full-colour plates, 13 monochrome plates printed in collotype (slightly offset onto opposing text leaves) and numerous bold decorations and illustrations throughout in dense black inks; externally fine; internally extremely clean and crisp. First edition thus, de luxe, limited to only 1,000 copies for the English market, signed by Harry Clarke.
