First edition, uncommon, of this investigation into the hidden Reichsbank treasures after WW2, and the situation in Southern Bavaria in 1945. Moss, and SOE operative had shared a flat with Xan Fielding and Patrick Leigh Fermor in a Villa in Cairo in 1943. In 1944 he participated in the abduction of General Kreipe in Crete and other operations behind enemy lines. Between 1952 and 1954, Moss and his friend and former SOE agent, Andrzej Kowerski (cover name, Andrew Kennedy, to whom this book is dedicated in rpint) to investigate a mystery of the final days of the Third Reich, an the wherabouts of the Nazi gold.
