Relief shown by spot heights; depths shown by contours and soundings. 1:1,000,000-scale inset of McMurdo Sound region, and 1:60,000,000-scale inset of Antarctica and surrounding oceanic regions (showing New Zealand and Australian dependencies).
The British Library holds a copy of this map, dated 1956, ours is called 'First Edition', and dated a year later and has IGPY (1957-1958) Stations marked with dots printed in red. - Not in the David Rumsey Collection.
