Third reprint of the first British one-volume edition (1937) of this classic account of Scott's last expedition. This edition is very similar to the 1937 edition, save for the removal of two plates and a small insert in the preface in which, commenting on the inclusion of a wrappers in colour, C.-G. apologises for its absence in the reprint with the words "And now you cannot [have it], owing to War. I am sorry. (1939)."
