Original red cloth-backed pictorial boards, floral coloured endpapers, preserved in what appears to be the original glassine dustwrapper; pp. 24 + [i]; each leaf with edge-decorations in green together together with historiated initials, vignettes, and 10 full-page lithographed coloured plates with black outlines in Folk Art style in Slavonic colours; a fine, and remarkably pristine, copy in the protective glassine, which is also fine, with loosely inserted, beautifully printed, and colour-illustrated advertisement for another publication by the same author, The Cook And The Hen, published 1925.
First edition, boldly signed in ink by the illustrator to a prelim page. A delightfully-produced collection of ten Czech love songs set to music with lyrics in English, including "Much Love"; "I Love You"; "Mariana"; "Frank"; "Johnny Dear" and "The Kiss".
