Welcome to our June newsletter.

Business as Usual

Business as usual (just without the shop!)

From today we are starting the preparations for the refurbishment of the shop. This week we will be open by appointment only. From the 12th of June we will be closed for shop business until the end of the building works, hopefully reopening in later July.

Throughout this period we will still be able to transact business by email. Our book stock will be in safe storage which we can access to fulfil any orders placed through the website. Or alternatively email us with any queries and we will happily get back to you. All staff emails will be monitored as usual.

Whilst the works take place, we won't have access to our usual phone lines, but you can still reach us on 07544 286876 from 9:30-6 Monday- Friday and 10-4 Saturday. Please use this contact number from the 18th June until further notice. Where possible, enquiries should be made by email to books@sotherans.co.uk

If you would like to meet up with any of us during this closed period we are happy to arrange to meet at a mutually convenient location.

If you would like a reminder of how we look now, before the refurbishment, take a look at our virtual tour.

During the mammoth tidying operation that preceded our refurbishment, sifting 81 years of accumulations in forgotten cupboards, we have been reminded that there is a lot more to our book shop than books. This catalogue aims to show that while everything we sell is extraordinary, it isn't necessarily in the form of binding, paper and print.
