STREET, Julian. Wines. Their Selection, Care and Service.

New York. Alfred A Knopf. 1933.

8vo., original cloth with rather tatty dust wrapper. With folding map and Vintage Chart intact. Some browning to front-free endpaper from a newspaper cutting on the front pastedown, otherwise a very good copy.

First edition inscribed by Strreet on front free endpaper "For ? With love from Judy Dec 12/33". Judy was Street's nickname.

The newspaper cutting is from The New York Herald Tribune and is a poem titled "Song of the Recent Curse of Drink" in "The Conning Tower" column by Franklin P. Adams, signed N.D. Plume, presumably Adams. The poem appears to be in response to this book'’s publication although is undated.
